Haute Couture

They say if you love it you want it. Now all you have to do is style it. Your style is your identity and makes you who you are. Lets go back a few hundred years to the 1890s. The time and rise of Haute Couture. The top Parisian fashion. The words literally mean "high fashion." It was high fashion indeed. The clothes of this time were tailored and fitted to the woman. It was handmade garments put together with intricate detail in every stitch. Every stitch is hand made and every garment is sewn by hand. These dresses were made for high class society. And this was the style for Parisians.

This fashion is still here today. Paris still has Haute Couture Fashion shows. The clothing is made to wear but still with the intricate detail of the couture. There are different clothing designed to be fitted to your body. It’s just more modernized. There are clothes with intricate detail and fabric just more modernized. One of the best designers still known today makes the most expensive haute couture clothing. Her name is Coco Chanel. She made luxury comfortable. She is known for tailored suits and the little black dress. In today’s fashion, clothes still have detail and garments that come together to make it couture. Just the difference is that most clothes aren’t custom made today. The haute couture of the 1890s is still a trend today with intricate detail and certain clothes tailored to fit.
